Ending a 17-year hiatus, the Bangladesh national cricket team is set to return to the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground, famously known as the ‘Home of Cricket.’ The Tigers will face England in a historic one-off Test match scheduled for May–June 2027. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) officially confirmed the tour on Thursday (July 24) while releasing its full international schedule for the 2027 season, which includes tours for both the Bangladesh men’s and women’s teams.
The landmark Test match at Lord’s will commence on May 28, 2027, and run through June 1. This will mark Bangladesh’s first Test match on English soil since 2010.
ECB Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Richard Gould expressed his enthusiasm in welcoming both the Bangladesh men’s and women’s contingents. He stated:
“We are excited to welcome Bangladesh Men for a one-off Test at Lord’s, which will be the first time we have played them at home in a Test since 2010 while also hosting Bangladesh Women in a white-ball series.”
