The Government of Bangladesh has decided to keep retail fuel prices unchanged across the domestic market for the month of October 2026. As a result, the previously set consumer prices for diesel, octane, petrol, and kerosene will remain in effect starting October 1, 2026.
The decision was announced on Wednesday (September 30, 2026) through an official press release issued by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division under the Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources.
According to the official notification, the existing fuel tariff for October 2026 has been maintained with the approval of the competent authority.
These fuel rates were previously calculated and published via a gazette notification by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division on September 20, 2026, under the automated pricing formula synced with global market benchmarks. Under the current decision, all filling stations across Bangladesh will continue selling fuel at these identical rates throughout October.
