Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has called upon all citizens to transcend religious divisions and unite shoulder-to-shoulder under a shared “Bangladeshi” identity to build a transformed nation. The Prime Minister delivered this message of national cohesion on Monday evening (October 19, 2026) while visiting the Durga Puja pandal at the historic Dhakeshwari National Temple and addressing a civic gathering organized by the Mahanagar Sarbajanin Puja Committee.
The Prime Minister explicitly stated that every citizen, regardless of religion or caste, must step forward to participate actively in the country’s democratic transition and comprehensive rebuilding.
