The Government of Bangladesh has decided to keep consumer prices for diesel, kerosene, petrol, and octane unchanged for November 2026. A press release issued by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division on Thursday night confirmed that the existing pricing structure will remain effective starting November 1.
With the approval of the competent authority, the fuel prices previously set for October will continue throughout the month of November.
Throughout November, retail prices per liter will remain at BDT 135 for diesel, BDT 155 for kerosene, BDT 160 for petrol, and BDT 165 for octane.
The current rates reflect a major upward adjustment enacted on September 20, which took effect on September 21. Following that revision, the government has kept prices steady for two consecutive months (October and November).
Economists anticipate that holding domestic fuel prices steady despite international market volatility will help stabilize operational and transport costs across agriculture, industrial manufacturing, and public transportation.
