Three members of the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) were killed in a tragic vehicle accident while on duty at the Third Terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. Four other personnel were severely injured in the incident.
The accident occurred around 10:20 PM on Monday (August 31, 2026). The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the news through an official press release.
According to ISPR, a BAF pickup van conducting routine security patrols lost control and plunged off the elevated flyover located on the terminal’s second level. Three personnel died on the spot. Immediately following the crash, the deceased and injured personnel were transferred to Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka, for medical treatment and necessary formalities.
