The ongoing protests will not cease without the resignation or dismissal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, clearly stated Ashutosh Ranka, spokesperson for the Cockroach Janata Party. He made these remarks on Friday (July 24) during an interview with Indian news channel NDTV at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi.
Ranka asserted that Pradhan has completely failed as Education Minister and that his resignation is the only viable path forward.
“This is not merely the demand of the protesters gathered at Jantar Mantar; the entire nation now shares a single, explicit demand—he must either step down from his position or the government must dismiss him. There is no alternative here.”
Outlining the scope and stance of the movement, Ashutosh Ranka emphasized that protesters will not accept any partial measures or compromises from the government.
Single-Point Demand: The government and relevant authorities have been unequivocally informed that no middle ground short of resignation or dismissal will be acceptable.
Nationwide Movement: The demonstration is no longer confined to the grounds of Jantar Mantar; it has spread across the country.
Call to Respect Public Sentiment: The party spokesperson urged the government to act swiftly by acknowledging the growing public anger and sentiments of the people.
