Against the backdrop of escalating military and political tensions in the Middle East, Ebrahim Azizi, Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, stated that the United States and Israel will ultimately be forced to withdraw from the region. He emphasized that while external powers will eventually exit, Iran and neighboring regional states will remain as permanent pillars.
The senior Iranian lawmaker delivered the statement in a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday.
Clarifying his personal and institutional posture on social media, Ebrahim Azizi noted:
US and Israeli Presence: The United States will inevitably leave the region, and the countdown to the collapse of the Zionist Israeli regime has already begun.
Future of Regional Neighbors: In the end, it is Iran and its regional neighbors who will remain permanently and stand face-to-face—a day that will mark a moment of regret for external forces.
Analysts view Ebrahim Azizi’s comments as part of Tehran’s ongoing psychological warfare strategy aimed at projecting domestic strength and reinforcing its regional proxy coalition. Neither the United States government nor Israeli authorities issued an immediate formal response to the social media post.
