The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has approved 13 key development projects with an estimated total outlay of BDT 16,207.55 crore. Final approval was granted during the ECNEC meeting held at the Cabinet Room of the Secretariat on Wednesday (October 7, 2026), chaired by Prime Minister Tarek Rahman.
The approved portfolio allocates substantial funding toward urban infrastructure, rural road connectivity, solar power generation (including the Rampal solar initiative), and information technology expansion across Bangladesh.
