Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has officially been sworn in as the 23rd President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The solemn ceremony took place on Friday evening at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban, where Acting Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal administered the oath of office.
The oath-taking event was conducted by Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani and attended by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, cabinet members, Members of Parliament, foreign diplomats, and high-ranking civil and military officials.
