According to the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP), the lone Test match between Bangladesh and England at the historic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London is still more than eight months away. However, recognizing the immense fan interest surrounding the Tigers’ return to the “Mecca of Cricket” after a 17-year hiatus, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and Lord’s authorities have officially opened the advance ticket ballot application process.
The singular Test match is scheduled to take place from May 28 to June 1, 2027. Lord’s management opened the public ballot application window as part of their 2027 international fixture ticketing roadmap, which will remain active until October 26, 2026. Successful applicants from the first phase will be notified via email in early November 2026, with a purchasing deadline of November 17. Remaining tickets will go on general public sale starting December 10, 2026.
Lord’s holds significant emotional value in Bangladesh’s cricketing history. During Bangladesh’s last Test match at the venue in 2010, opener Tamim Iqbal scored a historic 94-ball century, securing his name on the prestigious Lord’s Honors Board. The upcoming fixture marks the first red-ball meeting between the two nations since 2016, when Bangladesh secured a historic 108-run victory in Chattogram to draw the two-match series 1–1.
