In direct retaliation for Houthi drone and missile strikes targeting state oil giant Saudi Aramco’s administrative complex in Dhahran, the Saudi-led military coalition has intensified air and artillery strikes across Houthi-controlled territories in Yemen. Coalition forces struck major energy assets in Sanaa, Hodeidah, and strategic Red Sea ports, resulting in at least three civilian fatalities and multiple injuries.
The bloody escalation unfolded across several northern and western Yemeni provinces on Tuesday (October 13, 2026).
Artillery Fatalities in Saada District: Intense heavy artillery shelling by Saudi-backed forces in the Shada district of Saada province claimed at least one civilian life and critically injured two others. Separately, a landmine explosion in another district caused two additional civilian deaths.
Airstrikes on Sanaa’s As-Sabah Oil Facility: Prior to the Houthi retaliation in Dhahran, coalition warplanes struck the central oil storage and distribution hub in Sanaa’s As-Sabah district, causing massive explosions and widespread structural damage to the fuel infrastructure.
Precision Strikes on Ras Isa Port and Hodeidah: Expanding the operational zone beyond Sanaa, coalition forces launched dual airstrikes targeting an oil tanker docked at the strategic Red Sea port of Ras Isa, as well as a primary fuel reservoir and distribution depot in Houthi-controlled Hodeidah province.
