A massive civil protest and public rally against the government’s controversial Special Investment Region / State Institutional Reforms (SIR) policy is taking place in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Joining the demonstration on Thursday (October 8, 2026) are prominent socio-political analyst and content creator Dhruv Rathee alongside veteran Indian actor Prakash Raj.
Both figures confirmed their attendance through video messages broadcast across their social media handles, urging citizens, youth, and civil society groups to assemble at Freedom Park in Bengaluru to demonstrate solidarity with affected communities.
