The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have launched a fresh wave of airstrikes in Southern Lebanon. Local sources confirmed that a separate attack targeting the town of Tebnine left at least 1 person dead and 12 others injured.
The Israeli military claimed that these targeted strikes across strategic locations in South Lebanon were initiated on Wednesday in response to alleged ceasefire violations by Hezbollah. Prior to the bombardment, Israeli forces issued a stern evacuation warning to civilians in the village of Mansouri—located 25 kilometers from Tebnine—urging them to move to safer areas.
The IDF warned that targeted operations would focus on active Hezbollah strongholds in the area. Subsequently, videos circulated on social media showed thick plumes of smoke rising over the Mansouri region following the intense airstrikes.
Resistance Counter-Attack: 2 Israeli Soldiers Killed in Booby-Trapped Building
In response to the Israeli military action, resistance fighters mounted a strong defense in Southern Lebanon. They detonated a powerful explosive trap set inside a rigged building targeting advancing IDF troops.
It has been confirmed that two Israeli soldiers were killed on the spot in the sudden blast. Following the incident, severe tension and a precarious standoff prevail along the border.
